Know your Regs - FREE Guide
The Quality Assurance (QA) Programme sets the benchmark for professionalism and workmanship for the electrical contracting industry. It contains criteria to ensure that members continually meet good business practices and the requirements of New Zealand regulations, and ensures members maintain the high standards of a Master Electrician.
To become QA certified, members undergo a QA review. The review process is not an audit; it helps members put good business and electrical practices in place.
Quality assurance review for provisional members
Applicants for Master Electricians membership are deemed provisional members until they have successfully completed a QA review. Provisional Membership does not allow use of the Master Electricians brand or $20,000 Workmanship Guarantee.
Quality assurance reviews for existing members
Existing members are reviewed every three years. They may also be reviewed on request, or in special circumstances, such as a complaint being laid.
