Master Electricians National Presidents Advisory Forum (NPAF) brings representatives from across New Zealand together to share regional perspectives, discuss industry challenges and help shape a stronger future for the electrical sector.
The forum provides an important two-way connection between local branches and the national office. Representatives can raise the issues affecting members in their regions, receive updates from the national organisation and take valuable information back to their local branches.
For NPAF representatives, the forum is an opportunity to contribute beyond their individual member companies and work alongside others who share a common goal: improving the electrical community and the trade itself.
By bringing together voices from across the country, NPAF helps Master Electricians better understand the challenges and opportunities facing electrical businesses.
Current areas of discussion include competitive pressures, changing regulations, economic conditions and the need to create more opportunities to employ and train apprentices.
While the industry continues to experience change, NPAF representatives remain optimistic about its future. Growth, new technology and evolving regulations will bring opportunities for electrical business owners who are prepared to adapt and embrace change.
The forum also recognises the importance of investing in the next generation. Supporting businesses to employ and train apprentices will help build confidence, strengthen capability and create a sustainable future for the industry.
Most importantly, NPAF reminds members that they are part of a wider network working towards better outcomes.
As one representative shared:
“We’re not in it by ourselves. We’re in it as a group, and we can work together for better.”
